Jess has always had a passion for art. She graduated with a Bachelors in Fine Arts from UNCG. While in college, she worked as an art instructor for ages 4-18. Shortly after, she began her tattoo apprenticeship in 2011. Since then, she’s been working as a licensed, professional tattoo artist. In 2019, she decided to go on her own journe

In 2019, she decided to go on her own journey and open Opalus Tattoo. Jess really enjoys tattooing because it is every art form in one medium. Her specialties include cover-ups, botanical illustration, traditional and neotraditional tattoos.

From drawing instead of doing his school work, to doing graffiti on the sides of trains and buildings, Thomas has really been great at doing the opposite of what he should be doing. However, the artist in him has always shined bright. In 2016, he finished his 2 year apprenticeship under one of the top artists in the nation, Deran Hall, and worked at Blood Moon Gallery here in Greensboro, NC. And now, he’s looking forward to turning your ideas into a unique tattoo for you.

Britt was born and raised in Asheboro, North Carolina. She was always interested in art, even at a young age. After a two year apprenticeship, she became fully licensed in 2018, and has been going strong ever since! Although Britt is a versatile artist, she specializes in black and grey, and enjoys designing anything with animals and/or flowers.

Mikaela took an early interest in art as soon as she could hold a pencil, and finds it to be an escape from reality. One night her parents came home with new tattoos, and from that moment on, she knew she wanted to be a tattoo artist at just 11 years old. She began creating “flash sheets” and designs any chance she could get. She went on

One night her parents came home with new tattoos, and from that moment on, she knew she wanted to be a tattoo artist at just 11 years old. She began creating “flash sheets” and designs any chance she could get. She went on to take advanced placement art classes in high school. Mikaela completed her year-long apprenticeship in October 2021. She loves anything botanical, and prefers black and grey. She one day hopes to specialize in realism. Mikaela has an illustrative mind that she would love to share with you!

Taylor enjoys tattooing fine-line, floral, glitter realism and any video game characters, and she especially loves an opportunity to create one of her magical lady faces.

Over time, his dedication and hard work earned him an apprenticeship under a tattoo artist at the shop, marking the beginning of his career. Since 2014, Chris has been tattooing, driven by the memories and influence of those who not only gave him the chance to learn but also became his mentors and role models in the tattoo industry.
